Access Statement for Ash Tree House Keswick

Introduction

Ash Tree House is an old house and may have some limited access for disabled people but we will do our best to help so don’t hesitate to ask.

Pre-Arrival

The bus from Penrith stops right outside the house and from Lancaster just around the corner. Direction details are on our website www.ashtreehouse.co.uk or telephone if you prefer 01768772203.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

Drive straight into the car park from the main road. The car park is on a slight slope. It is gravel and while there are no marked spaces there is plenty of room. Please ask if you need help with luggage.

There is an archway through to the front of the house.

Main entrance and reception

There is a small step(5’’) into the porch - slate floor, and another small step(5’’) into the hall. The door is 39’’ wide. The hall is 48’’ wide and is carpeted.

Dining room

Breakfast is in ground floor dining room no steps. Chairs and tables can be moved if necessary. Door is 35’’

Stairs

Only one flight of stairs, curved and not steep with hand rail.

Bedroom 1

Double room with en-suite shower and toilet. Bedroom door is 34’’ bathroom door is 24’’. Two chairs and short pile fitted carpet.

Bedroom 2

Twin room with en suite shower and toilet. Bedroom door is 34’’ bathroom door is 24’’. Two chairs and fitted short pile carpet.

If guests prefer a bath they can use family bathroom with large bath and wooden flooring.

Outdoors

Large garden with tables and chairs. Can be accessed without steps.
